Come and see the Dahlias in the Trials Garden. They're looking wonderful - I've been helping Nigel by feeding, watering, and dead-heading them. Some of the colours and sizes of the flowers really are amazing!

Fossils, Butterflies, and Pruning!
Me, Wayne and Becky have been busy making some fossils in preparation for the future Evolutionary Trail. The fern turned out really well - the two magnolia fossils were a bit tricky though!
The Butterfly House is looking lovely - a must see at this time of year!
This week me and Nigel tackled the Wisteria sinensis and the Rosa banksia 'Lutea' in the Alpine Yard. The extension growth was removed from the Wisteria and taken down to approximately eight buds. As well as removing any old flower stems. The Rose on the other hand needed a complete makeover because it was pulling itself from the wall and also hanging over the other side over the pavement. Therefore it needed to be taken down to it's basic framework and re-trained. Good job we had the tractor and trailer on hand to get rid of the debris!

The end of BBC Gardeners' World Live 2014
So now it's all over! It was an incredible experience and already I can't wait to do something for next year's show! I recommend any budding horticulturists to take part in projects like this, it's all been a fun learning curve. Also it was a bonus to advertise the gardens, get our name out there and to talk to the public about what we do!
A few photos of the public looking at our garden on Friday:
Me and Becky went to a Monty "The Don" Don talk on Sunday morning, it was really insightful!
Look out for me as the new presenter on Gardeners' World...

BBC Gardeners' World Live Show Garden 2014 - finished
Some photos of the final stages of the border. We had to move the Magnolia to the back of the pond as it kept falling over in the centre as it was fairly windy. We also got judged today on the finished border and got a RHS Silver Medal!
It opens to the public tomorrow, we hope to see you there.
